This blurb brought to you by Overstock.com
"When putting together a casual wedding outfit, stay away from formal gowns and cocktail dresses. Instead, opt for separates that you would wear in an office, like dress pants, pencil skirts, and cotton sundresses."

"The choices are the same as with black-tie: a floor-length gown, a fancy cocktail dress, or a dressy pants suit. As far as women are concerned, there's no difference between black-tie attire and black-tie option attire. The "optional" part comes in for the men." - Brides.com
Sunny Beach Wedding Guest Attire
"Wear dresses or jumpsuits that are not only stylish but also comfortable. (It also helps if they pair well with a pashmina or cardigan for those ocean breezes.) Summer breezes can also kick up short, flirty skirts, so consider midi and maxi lengths instead of minis unless you're wearing a sturdier fabric. Since you'll likely be walking in sand (no easy feat in high heels!), we recommend pairing dressy wedges or flat sandals with beach wedding guest dresses" - theknot.com
Sunny Rustic Casual/Semi-Formal Wedding Guest Attire
"You’ll want to also pay a little attention to whether it’s a rustic casual wedding, a western or country themed wedding – where more casual attire like skirts, sundresses, and perhaps khakis for men would be permitted — or more of an upscale rustic wedding where semi-formal attire with a long maxi dress or unstructured suit for men might be more suitable." - Dressforthewedding.com

Chilly City Casual/Semi-Formal Wedding Guest Attire
"Velvet is out of competition – it’s warm, comfy and very refined, plus you may find lots of designs, cuts, lengths. Sequin gowns of various colors remind of the holidays, just add heels and a clutch and go! If you are looking for a way to stand out, pay attention to moody floral dresses and lace ones worn over a top or a shirt." - happywedd.com

Windy Beach Wedding Guest Attire
Hair is best in an up-do because salt and wind do not mix well with my hair, if it does with yours, then bless you and rock those beach waves girl! A tighter dress with a nice pashmina would be perfect for a windy beach wedding or at least a dress with thick fabric that won't get too crazy in the wind. Again, wear shoes that won't sink in the sand and don't forget that sunscreen. Clouds are the quiet killers when it comes to sunburns.
Chilly Rustic Casual/Semi-Formal Wedding Guest Attire
"If you’re off to a casual winter wedding, consider choosing a dress with a smart yet relaxed feel. A shift dress featuring long sleeves, or a simple wrap dress can make an excellent option. Adding a basic print, such as florals, can also give your outfit an easygoing feel, even in winter." - thetrendspotter.net
